Plain and simple-- a tool to hopefully help users build their own profitable sports betting models. We do the grunt work of compiling statistic data and odds from a bunch of sportsbooks, and allow users to pick facets to see what may or may not have been profitable in the past.
I've bet on horses for 20+ years, building a handful of tools for doing so-- but horse racing is a stodgy old man sport that is dying (also ignoring poor treatment of animals/workers/etc.). I had used a site called CentSports in college that allowed free wagers, but never really got into sports- betting that much until years later. When DFS got popular and sports betting started being legalized many places, I figured, take the horse modeling tooling and apply it to traditional sports betting.
While the modeling functionality doesn't match horse racing past performances 1:1-- the goal is to create the ability to easily test theories with lots of dials and knobs to adjust until you can find out what works. Since I originally had the idea to build Oddize in 2021-ish, there have been dozens of arb tools pop up, and just as many "+EV" tools-- albeit many of those are relatively opaque and since your typical fraudster touts learned that term-- it gets abused more than the word 'elite'. As it stands in late 2025, I've yet to find any sites offering a transparent, useful and intuitive "Build your own model" solution, so maybe Oddize is a novel idea-- only adoption will tell if it is a good or bad one.
Adopted after a puppy mill shutdown, Doppler was terrified of everything-- taking 2 months before discovering that he actually could enjoy pets from humans. Now he supervises operations (from the couch).
